CAD systems are complex and require a lot of training to use.  Most users do not have the time or training to learn CAD, so they must use CAD models others have created as-is.

Parametric Products is the proud sponsor of CadQuery, an open-source fluent CAD language. Using CadQuery, you can create complex shapes directly from code.
